Aaaah portfolios are due this coming Monday and I still have to do at LEAST one more consentration piece. I've finished 3 in the past week in a total freenzy. I'm totally sleep deprived. Now I'm failing one class that I neglected because of it. Ughhh, he called home about it too, my teacher I mean. I'm now trying to balance it out but now is the time I should be really buckling down for my portfolio. And on top of that I'm totally recieving waves of inspiration and motivation to make anime art right now with actual backgrounds and cool poses but I have zer0 time. @_@ I pray to God every night to give me speed, quality, and health. Please pray for me! I'm trying really hard to not sacrifice quality for quantity. So, the genius I am, I'm useing all the mediums that I'm quick at. Like scratchboard and pen and ink. Which I'm am suprised to find that most people think that scratchboard is tedious, hard, and slow work. I find it entirly the opposite. I guess it takes a steady learned hand and persision. You have to know what your going to do before you do it. Consideration of the style and treatment of line is what I believe to be most important in scratchboard and pen. For instance line weight, hatching, cross-hatching, stinsiling, pointilism, curving/contour lines, etc. Depends on your style and what would be most effective. I guess that's why I love it so much. I love the study of line. I'm such a cartoonist at heart.
